Membership

Membership of the Commission is drawn from a range of public, private and voluntary sector organisations in the North East. During the lifetime of the Commission its membership has evolved as a result of changes to national and regional policy, political priorities and the region's service delivery landscape. 

Current membership of the Commission includes senior representatives from the following organisations:

The NECPC is currently chaired by Newcastle City Councillor Jane Streather, and coordinated by Dr Deborah Harrison from the Institute for Local Governance (ILG) at Durham University.
